What Is ISO/IEC 27701?
ISO/IEC 27701 extends ISO/IEC 27001 by adding privacy-specific controls designed to help organizations establish, maintain, and continually improve a robust privacy management system. It provides guidance for both PII Controllers and PII Processors, supporting compliance with global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
Our ISO/IEC 27701 Certification Services
1. Stage 1 Audit – Documentation & Readiness Review
We evaluate the scope of your PIMS, documentation, policies, and control design to ensure your organization is prepared for a full certification audit.
2. Stage 2 Audit – Certification Audit
AARC-360 auditors assess implementation and operational effectiveness of PIMS controls, interview stakeholders, observe processes, and validate conformance to ISO/IEC 27701 requirements.
3. Certification Decision & Issuance
Following successful completion of the audit, AARC-360 independently reviews results and issues an ISO/IEC 27701 certificate valid for three years, contingent on successful annual surveillance audits.
4. Surveillance Audits (Years 2 & 3)
We perform annual surveillance audits to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
5. Recertification Audit (Year 4)
A full system audit is performed to renew your certification.
Optional Implementation Support (Separate & Independent)
To avoid any conflict of interest, all advisory or readiness support is conducted separately from our certification team. Organizations may choose to work with AARC-360’s advisory division or any third-party consultant for PIMS implementation.
Examples of optional support include:

These are not part of the certification audit and are kept strictly independent.
