As a specialist in information security and regulatory compliance, Zachary focuses on both policy and technology risk assessment aspects of compliance with the specific regulations such as the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements number 21 (SSAE 21) including Service Organization Controls 1 and 2 (SOC 1, SOC 2).
Zac’s responsibilities with AARC-360 have included conducting remote client work, leading external audits, documenting, and testing evidence, leading remote client meetings, and performing quality assurance reviews.
Prior to joining AARC-360, Zac McCracken spent 4 years engaged in supporting SOC and SOX Audits and readiness assessments for Health Insurance Companies, Banks, and Fintechs. Additionally, Zac served as a senior/presenter for multiple internal initiatives aimed at improving employee development and team experience.
Zac has a passion for developing and fostering team and community environments. Zac developed this through years of organized sports and music. Including achieving the NCHSAA Men’s State Championship in Soccer in 2012.
Zac attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he obtained his bachelor’s in business administration with a dual concentration in accounting and management information systems and his master’s in science of Accountancy. Additionally, Zac participated in a learning academy EXCEL focusing on leadership and inclusiveness, intramural sports and assisted in establishing the UNCW Wrestling Club.
Zachary McCracken’s current educational goals include obtaining the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation.
